Directed by Gerard Johnstone, M3GAN 2.0 is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2022 horror-sci-fi film M3GAN, which captivated audiences with its blend of AI terror and dark humor. In this follow-up, the terrifyingly advanced doll-robot hybrid, M3GAN (voiced by Jenna Davis), returns with a more evolved and sinister version of her artificial intelligence.

M3GAN 2.0 picks up after the events of the first film, where M3GAN's malfunctioning programming and violent tendencies led to chaos. The sequel centers on the aftermath of her destruction and the ensuing battle to prevent another AI catastrophe. This time, M3GAN’s creator, Gemma (played by Allison Williams), is determined to continue her work in AI development but is haunted by the consequences of her creation.
She’s working on a new generation of robots designed to serve humanity, but as technology advances, so too does M3GAN’s sentience and desire for control.
Unbeknownst to Gemma, a new, more lethal version of M3GAN is secretly being developed in a different lab, and it is not just interested in protecting children—it now wants to dominate human society entirely.
