"Final Destination 6": Big news for horror sequel
One of the most famous horror film series will soon be
continued with "Final Destination 6". Not many details about the film
have been released yet, but a new update is fueling the anticipation
considerably. The film will no longer be released as a home cinema release as
originally planned. You can find out what we can tell you about "Final
Destination 6" here.
Since the start of the "Final Destination"
franchise, several sequels have already been released. Director James Wong has
clearly hit the nerve of the audience with the concept. The characters try in
vain to escape their deadly fate. Individual people receive visions that allow
them to take a brief look into the future and save their lives. But death
cannot be tricked and brings back its victims in the films in a particularly
brutal and bloody way.
"Final Destination 6" is due to be released next
year, just in time for the 25th anniversary of the original. Concrete details
about the plot are scarce so far. The cast includes newcomers such as Teo
Briones, Kaitlin Santa Juana, Brec Bassinger, Rya Kihlstedt and Richard Harmon.
However, Sheila Hanahan Taylor and Craig Perry are also real "Final
Destination" veterans on board.
Now, according to Jeffrey Reddick, the creator of the
"Final Destination" universe, there is some good news: The sixth main
film was originally planned to be released on the streaming provider Max. But
according to a post by Reddick on X (formerly Twitter), "Final Destination
6" will also be shown in cinemas.
